IFRI-TRYV BIPOC Business expo 2024

This year’s expo; under the theme “Setting up your business for success” will feature The BIPOC Business Resource Center and The First BIPOC Business Awards. The resource center will feature governmental, public and private entities that are intentional and committed to providing resources aimed at empowering BIPOC business owners to set up their business for success. These resources include business planning, marketing, finance, access to capital, legal, Technology and so much more! This is an opportunity for business owners to meet with stakeholders in person, learn
about the products and services they offer and establish meaningful connections. During the awards, eligible business owners will have the chance to participate in a raffle drawing and the opportunity to win a cash prize of at least $3,000.

Activities happening during the day of the Expo are:

  • The BIPOC Business Resource Center: The resource center is an exhibit of government, public and private entities that are intentional about providing resources to BIPOC businesses that will empower these business owners to set up their business for success. These resources include business planning, marketing, finance, access to capital, legal, Technology and so much more! This is an opportunity for business owners to meet with stakeholders in person, gain insights into the products and services they offer and establish meaningful connections.
  • The First BIPOC Business Awards: BIPOC business owners will get an opportunity to enter in our inaugural raffle drawing offering a chance at winning a cash prize of at least $3,000. To enter the competition, eligible businesses must adhere to the following criteria:
  • Complete the awards entry form – Click here to win $3,000
  • Must have registered as a business prior to Jan 31, 2023
  • Must complete the Federal Department of Treasury BOI report at the time of entry
  • Must attend one 90-minute, in-person access-to- capital preparation course offered by IFRI-TRVY prior to the expo. There
    will be three courses offered prior to the expo. These courses are designed to help business owners understand the lending
    process and assess their loan readiness
  • Businesses must have in-person representation at the expo to qualify for the prize
